Autumn-Winter round-up 2024-25

The winter season, as usual, brought many opportunities for training, exploring and racing. Great regulars on the Newburgh calender included:  The OMM. Andy and Matt took a trip up to Glen Artney for the Short Score event, finishing a very respectable 7th Vet pair and 38th out of 100 finishers. Tour of Pendle. Ten of us enjoyed a fine day on Pendle for this autumn classic. Some strong performances across the range of age categories, particularly from Mike Smith, Peter Fishwick, and from veterans Wally, Tony and Jim who all finished inside 4 hours. Review of the year 2023

A look back at the year that was 2023.With 2022's list of achievements being quite extensive, it was almost inevitable that plans would be a little muted for 2023.  It's been a challenging year in many respects with some members recovering from illness or injury or focussing on the needs of their families - partners, children and grandchildren.
The beginning of the year witnessed the usual round of events and races in the name of "getting fit" throughout winter.  Old favourites such as The Hebden, Wadsworth Trog, Anglezarke Amble and Parbold Hill races all kicked off the year…

A look back at some notable achievements from 2022.
For every one of these achievements there are many more personal triumphs at every level: personal bests, recovering from injury, surviving the midge at Cragg Vale, or managing to get out and run when the rest of life competes for time.  Hats off to you all!
