Chris takes on the Charnley Way
Chris Usher completed the Charnley Way on 30 August 2024. On what was a perfect Lakeland day (blue skies, little wind, not too warm), Chris ran and walked a route over 40 miles with 13,000 ft of ascent to link all points of the Charnley Way between the youth hostels of High Close (Langdale), Eskdale and Longthwaite (Borrowdale). Chris becomes the third Newburgh Nomad to complete the round solo after Dave Ralphs and John Thompson.
